An Outstanding secondary school in Birmingham is seeking a passionate and dedicated Psychology Teacher with Teaching and Learning Responsibility (TLR) to join their highly successful and well-resourced Humanities department. This is a full-time, permanent role starting in September 2025, offering a leadership opportunity alongside teaching Psychology across Key Stages 4 and 5, with potential involvement in KS3 Humanities depending on experience.

About the Role:
As a Psychology Teacher with TLR responsibility, you will lead initiatives within the Humanities department to drive high-quality teaching and learning. You will deliver engaging lessons at GCSE and A-Level, support curriculum development, and contribute to the wider school community through leadership and professional development activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver inspiring Psychology lessons tailored to a range of student needs across KS4 and KS5

*

Take a leadership role within the department, contributing to curriculum planning and staff development

*

Track and assess student progress in line with school policies

*

Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes academic success

*

Engage actively with parents, carers, and colleagues to support student achievement

*

Participate in whole-school initiatives and CPD opportunities

Qualifications and Experience:

*

Qualified Psychology teacher with experience teaching GCSE and A-Level

*

Degree in Psychology or a related subject

*

PGCE or QTS

*

Demonstrated commitment to high standards of teaching and learning

*

Eligible to work in the UK

*

Leadership experience or ambition to undertake leadership duties (TLR)

Salary:
Competitive salary on the MPS/UPS scale, plus a Teaching and Learning Responsibility (TLR) allowance, commensurate with experience.
