Part-Time Rotation Operator

Are you mechanically inclined and like working on/around machines? Do you like working with people? Are you tired of working set hours and not having flexibility? Here is your opportunity to apply your mechanical skills, work with people AND select the hours you chose to work. This allows you to work part-time, have a work life balance and still do the other things that you love to do!

Right now, we urgently need seasonal manufacturing team members to work part-time afternoons, evenings and possibly mornings during the busiest time of our year. Excellent on the job training is provided!

At Western States our manufacturing team takes pride in working in a fast-paced environment focused on getting quality work out the door and to our customers quickly. Though there are some physically aspects, the work is rewarding, and you will earn between $13-$15 starting hourly rate with shift premium of $0.40 to $0.65 per hour depending on when hours are worked. Opportunity for pay increase will result from meeting productivity, safety and product quality standards.

**Position Summary**

This role will perform the following Essential Duties in our manufacturing department on a part-time work schedule as described below.

**Work Schedule:** Pick and commit to the hours you want to work; ideally Monday - Friday between 2:30pm to 6:30am, but hours between 6:30am to 2:30pm may also be available. A minimum of 16 to 32 hour worked per week is strongly preferred and hours that you schedule are not guaranteed based on production floor workload. Additional hours may be available depending on your availability and business needs.

**Essential Responsibilities**

* Feeds/packs envelopes uniformly and neatly, keep up with the machine speed.
* Inspect products according to quality guidelines and ensures accurate labeling, printing, and packaging of product.
* May learn to operate machines, perform preventative maintenance and other duties as assigned.

**Required Qualifications**

* Be at least 18 years old.
* Previous manufacturing or mechanical experience helpful; Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
* Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide and read/interpret ruler measurements.
* Ability to stand, bend, twist and lift up to 25 pounds.
* Be dependable, work the agreed upon schedule and have reliable transportation.
