Reed Finance is proud to be working in partnership with a local business to recruit a diligent and technically minded Senior Financial Accountant.

Working closely with the Finance Director, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the Financial Controls are well maintained, relevant reporting is completed within an accurate and timely manner, as well as the effective management of junior staff.

Duties Include:

• Maintain a robust control environment through balance sheet reconciliations
• Preparation of year end statutory accounts
• Lead the annual audit processes and prepare statutory accounts
• Complete statutory returns accurately and on time
• Strong VAT knowledge in order to complete quarterly and annual VAT returns
• Report on cashflow, including forecasting and identifying funding needs
• Dealing with ad hoc queries

Requirements:

• Must be a Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
• Strong financial accounting background
• Finance Leadership Experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in financial software and MS Office
• Experience in the Not For Profit Sector would be advantageous but not essential

The role of Senior Financial Accountant is £62,000pa plus benefits and hybrid working.
