As a result of increasing demand for our services, there are significant opportunities for you to support a key project within the nuclear business.

We are currently recruiting a Senior Mechanical Engineer to support the team in Birchwood

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, with 10 years minimum experience, and a proven track record in mechanical handling, you will be responsible for the following:

* Planning and co-ordinating engineering and design activities

* Developing and implementing engineering solutions for complex engineering projects, from concept design proposals through to design for manufacture, the full project life cycle

* Identifying design, statutory and regulatory requirements, and contributing to risk assessments

* Supporting resolution of conflicting design requirements

* Producing technical reports, technical specifications and scoping calculations

* Reviewing technical deliverables, including reports and drawings

* Presenting engineering solutions to stakeholders and as part of design reviews

* Delivering your scope of work to time and budget

Here's What You'll Need;

* Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (e.g. HNC/HND with significant experience) in engineering discipline

* Attained/ or working towards chartered or incorporated status with a recognised professional body (e.g. IMechE)

* Experience of the nuclear industry/ highly regulated environments would be advantageous

* Experience of crane/ lifting equipment design

* Familiarity of AutoDesk products (Inventor)

* Familiarity of safety case

* Familiarity with CE Marking, CDM, PUWER, LOLER, PED, Machinery's Directive
