We’re looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and inclusive primary school in Birmingham this September. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with pupils, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them to thrive both academically and emotionally.
What You’ll Be Doing: - Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
- Working 1:1 or in small groups with pupils, including those with SEN.
- Helping to create a positive, safe, and stimulating learning environment.
- Assisting with classroom preparation, resources, and displays.
- Encouraging pupil independence and confidence.
- Collaborating with staff, parents, and external professionals to support individual needs.
What We’re Looking For: - Experience working with children in a school or similar setting.
- Previous experience supporting children with SEN (e.g., autism, ADHD, speech and language needs).
- A calm, patient, and empathetic approach.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
- A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning) is desirable.
