Job Title: Mechanical Fitter
Salary: £37,000 + Bonus
Shift Pattern: Day Shift (Mon - Fri)

The Role - Mechanical Fitter:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Fitter with a background in manufacturing or industrial environments. This role is hands-on and focused on maintaining and fitting mechanical components across the site.

Key Responsibilities:

* Maintenance, repair, and fitting of machinery, pumps, valves, and mechanical systems

* Work on hydraulic and pneumatic systems

* Strip down, rebuild, and reassemble mechanical components

* Carry out planned and reactive maintenance

* Support root cause analysis for mechanical faults and implement preventative measures

* Ensure all work is performed safely and in accordance with health and safety regulations

* Collaborate with other departments and assist with project work when required

Requirements:

* Time-served Mechanical Fitter or equivalent qualification/apprenticeship

* Strong experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, valves, and mechanical fitting

* Comfortable stripping and rebuilding machinery

* Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting

* Ability to read mechanical drawings and interpret technical specifications

* Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities

* Reliable, proactive, and capable of working independently or within a team
