We are partnered with a leading UK building contractor to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team, ideally based within East Anglia. This is a fantastic opportunity to work across a variety of high-profile projects, supporting both live projects and pre-contract activities.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the financial performance of assigned projects, accurately forecasting costs and analysing budgets.

*

Place and manage subcontracts in line with financial and performance criteria.

*

Maintain strong client and supply-chain relationships as a professional point of contact.

*

Lead and mentor junior/assistant Quantity Surveyors, fostering a collaborative team environment.

*

Navigate contract agreements, scope changes, and client expectations with diplomacy.

*

Ensure compliance with construction contracts (JCT, NEC), risk management, and Health & Safety legislation.

Skills & Experience Required

*

Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor, ideally in building or construction projects.

*

Strong understanding of commercial factors, contracts, valuations, and cost control.

*

Excellent IT skills and the ability to prepare accurate financial reports.

*

Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

*

Leadership experience with the ability to delegate effectively.

*

Full driving licence and the right to work in the UK.
