About the Role Tradewind Recruitment is looking for compassionate and resilient SEMH Teaching Assistants to support pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs in schools across Bedford from September 2025.
These roles suit individuals who are confident managing behaviour and building positive relationships with students who may have experienced trauma or disruption in their learning.
Key Responsibilities -
Provide targeted support to pupils with SEMH needs

Support emotional regulation, engagement, and wellbeing

Work closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams

Promote a positive, consistent and supportive learning environment
Requirements -
Experience with SEMH, behaviour support, or youth work

Calm, empathetic, and consistent approach

Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)

Relevant training (Team Teach or similar) is a bonus
