Job Title: QTS English Teacher - Long Term Supply (ASAP / April 2026 Start)
Location: East London - Newham, Redbridge, Tower Hamlets & Waltham Forest
Pay: MPS/UPS (Paid to Scale)

Principal Education is currently recruiting a passionate and dedicated QTS English Teacher for long-term supply opportunities across East London, including Newham, Redbridge, Tower Hamlets and Waltham Forest.

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic English specialist seeking a stable long-term placement with competitive pay aligned to the Main or Upper Pay Scale.

The Role:

Deliver engaging English lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)

Plan, prepare and assess in line with the national curriculum

Create a positive and inclusive learning environment

Contribute to departmental planning and whole-school initiatives

Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - Essential

Experience teaching English in UK secondary schools

Strong behaviour management and classroom practice

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

Right to work in the UK
