The Role:

As Head of Tax, you will take overall ownership of all UK tax matters, managing compliance, risk, and long-term strategy.

Responsibilities include:

• Leading the UK tax function, covering corporation tax, VAT, and employment tax
• Reviewing and submitting corporate and partnership tax returns
• Overseeing tax compliance, planning, and audits
• Managing relationships with HMRC and external advisers
• Providing regular updates and strategic tax advice to senior leadership
• Identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies
• Direct management of tax staff with scope to grow the team further

Package:

• £90,000 to £110,000 Base DOE +
• Company Car Allowance £7,800

About You

• ACA, ACCA, CTA, or ATT qualified
• Technical expertise across UK tax legislation
• Experience of the Senior Accounting Officer (SAO) regime
• Proven record in audits, compliance, and complex tax planning
• Hands-on approach with the ability to manage and mentor a team
• Confident influencing senior stakeholders and shaping tax strategy
