We are currently working with a global leader in automation and advanced manufacturing solutions for the industrial sectors. This is a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of automation and production technology, designing innovative mechanical systems that support some of the world’s most advanced assembly lines.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing high-quality 3D designs, detailed drawings, and mechanical solutions that meet customer requirements and industry standards. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical, controls, and project engineering, to deliver robust and efficient designs from concept through to installation. Your work will play a key role in ensuring our systems achieve exceptional levels of performance, reliability, and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and develop 3D CAD models, detailed engineering drawings, and BOMs.
  • Design bespoke mechanical solutions for automation and assembly systems.
  • Perform tolerance analysis, material selection, and stress calculations.
  • Collaborate with electrical and controls engineers to ensure seamless system integration.
  • Support prototype build, testing, and validation activities.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation within mechanical design processes.

About You

  • Degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Proven experience in mechanical design within automation, or special-purpose machinery.
  • Strong CAD skills (Siemens NX, CATIA, or SolidWorks preferred).
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and design for assembly.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a hands-on, proactive approach.
