The Animal Hospital of Dauphin County is seeking an experienced and outgoing person to join our Reception team. Our hospital is a busy, progressive, full-spectrum, small animal day practice located near Harrisburg and Hershey, PA.

What do you need to be a strong candidate? 2 or more years of customer service experience and great communication skills. Fluently bilingual in Spanish and English preferred. Knowledge of veterinary medicine is a PLUS, but not required.
What will you do in this position? Reception Team Members are the Animal Hospital of Dauphin County’s first impression for all public interactions. Each member of the Reception Team takes ownership of the positive experiences of all clients, visitors, and their pets. Additionally, Reception Team Members play a crucial role in facilitating effective communication within the hospital team as well as between the hospital team and the public. Reception Team Members also contribute to the overall success of the hospital by accurately processing financial transactions and by maintaining, organizing, and processing hospital and client documents and inventory.
The Animal Hospital of Dauphin County has been caring for pets in the greater Harrisburg and Hershey communities since 1962. We started out in a small, three-bedroom house (now home to our business offices). After several expansions, we now work in a 6,000 square-foot, fully equipped animal hospital. We focus on prevention and early detection of diseases, which allows for more effective treatment and a longer life for the pets that we care for. We update our testing methods and treatments through continuing education and by consulting with specialists in many disciplines.
