CNC Programmer and Setter

A Precision Engineering firm, specialising in high quality, bespoke component parts, has an exciting opportunity for a CNC Programmer to join their well-established engineering team.

Responsibilities

Programming, Setting and operating CNC Sliding heads and Fixed Head machines
Reading, interpreting and applying technical drawings
Ensuring the changing of tooling parts (tips, drills, tools, and inserts)
Applying measurement tools to ensure exacting standards of production output
Accurate and timely recording of measurement and production data
Strict adherence to Health and Safety standards
Ensuring CPD by participating in all mandatory in-house and external training
Identifying opportunities to maximise efficiency and efficacy of the manufacturing process
Performing routine maintenance to ensure the serviceability and longevity of machinery and tools

Skills required

Solid experience setting and operating CNC Sliding Head / Fixed Head machines
Experience using Citizen machinery is highly desirable
Proficient in programming of CNC Sliding Heads,
Experience with FANUC controls and working to tight tolerances
Ability to work both independently, as well as part of a close-knit team
Ability to work to tight deadlines
A positive and proactive attitude
