Teaching Assistant - Year 1 & SEND

Provide Education are currently recruiting on behalf of one of our partner primary schools in the Scunthorpe DN17 area for a Teaching Assistant to support Year 1 pupils and to work within their First Steps Unit, which provides additional support for more vulnerable and SEND children.

This is a rewarding and fulfilling opportunity to be part of a nurturing and inclusive school community, where you can make a real difference to pupils' learning and development.

Hours:

Monday & Tuesday: 8:30am - 3:00pm

*

Wednesday: 8:30am - 1:15pm

*

Thursday & Friday: 8:30am - 12:00pm

The school is easily accessible from Doncaster and surrounding areas, particularly if you drive.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide classroom and 1:1 support to Year 1 pupils.

Assist children with additional needs in the First Steps Unit.

*

Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff.

*

Help to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements:

*

Experience working in a primary or SEND setting is desirable.

*

A caring, patient and enthusiastic approach to supporting children.

*

A valid DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).

We are looking to appoint a suitable candidate as soon as possible for this ongoing position through to Christmas, with potential to continue beyond.
