Job Title: Production Team Leader

Salary: £40,000- £45,000 (Depending on experience )
Nicholas Associates are working with vibrant alternative green energy technology company based in Doncaster who are looking to bring on board an experienced Production Team Leader
Responsibilities include:
- Lead and manage a team of production workers, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure optimal performance and productivity.
- Plan and organise production schedules to meet customer demand and delivery deadlines, optimising resources and minimising waste.
- Monitor production processes to identify opportunities for improvement and implement solutions to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment, adhering to all company policies and regulations, and promoting a culture of safety awareness among team members.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality assurance, and supply chain, to coordinate production activities and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Train new employees on production procedures, equipment operation, and safety protocols, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members, recognising achievements and addressing areas for development.
- Drive initiatives for continuous improvement, such as implementing lean manufacturing principles, streamlining processes, and introducing new technologies or methodologies.
- Keep abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to production management, incorporating relevant advancements into our operations.
Key skills and experience required:
- Degree in engineering, related field (not essential).
- Proven experience in a production leadership role, preferably in a startup environment or fast-paced manufacturing setting.
- Strong knowledge of production and assembly processes (specifically in piping), quality control principles, and safety regulations.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve goals and exceed expectations.
- Solid organisational and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and a focus on delivering results.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
- Proficiency in using production management software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively under pressure in a dynamic startup environment.
Desirable skills:
- Process/chemical or mechanical engineering background preferred,
- Electrical knowledge is beneficial.
