Overview

We are looking for a passionate and focused individual to work with the charity’s CEO and Founder, you’ll need strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail and integrity, with excellent oral and written communication. You’ll be helping to plan a very busy schedule and alleviating the CEO of overflow admin to give her more time to focus on the bigger picture. You’ll be optimistic, with drive, determination and passion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Correspondence management – filing and actioning
  • Calendar management – overseeing a diary and allocating the CEO’s time appropriately. Implementing a system to ensure that nothing is missed, setting reminders
  • Implementing and maintaining systems for filing
  • Workflow and task coordination – ensuring that deadlines are met, drawing together skills from relevant personnel to achieve goals
  • Preparing minutes from meetings and distributing accordingly – following up on action points
  • Preparation for meetings – ensuring that CEO is briefed and up to date
  • Time management – ensuring CEO’s time is best placed and that team members are used effectively
  • Forward thinking/planning – working with the CEO to create a forward-thinking strategy and making it happen
  • Fundraising – contributing to pitches and brainstorming/offering ideas
  • Stakeholder Management – building and maintaining relationships both internally and externally. Making links and spotting opportunities and ensuring smooth communications from you and the CEO’s office

Experience and Qualities

  • Demonstrable experience in a similar role
  • Charity sector experience desirable but not essential
  • Willing to get involved in all aspects of the charity as the CEO’s support
  • Able to tactfully step in and make suggestions to streamline processes/manage time effectively
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Highly organised, able to implement systems and plan ahead
  • Engaged and enthusiastic about the charity’s aims, operations and growth

Salary - £25k - £28k
