We have a great setting close to Hackney that are looking for a Nursery Practitioner to join the team. This nursery has worked hard to create both indoor and outdoor environments that provide children with the opportunities to safely explore and investigate. From mud kitchens to vegetable gardens, learning hubs and computer suites, they inspire young minds to learn how things work and evolve through play.

Each day at nursery is different and every child is encouraged and nurtured to develop at their own pace to reach their full potential. They have a caring team of experienced practitioners creating enabling environments and activities to ensure every child is given the opportunity to be creative and explore. There is a large outdoor space, complete with age-appropriate equipment and a Forest School area for the children to discover.

As a Nursery Practitioner you will support the design and delivery room activities in line with EYFS principles. You would be part of a highly trained team, who encourage the children to get involved in imaginative play and real-world play to help them grow and develop.

The nursery is located close to Train with good links to Stratford, as well as being well served by bus routes and the tube.

Responsibilities:
  • Foster a safe, stimulating, and engaging environment for children, focusing on their individual needs and developmental milestones
  • Design and implement age-appropriate activities that promote development social, emotional, cognitive, and physical skills
  • Regularly observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records to share with parents and caregivers
  • Work with parents, colleagues, and other stakeholders to ensure a collaborative and supportive approach to childcare
  • Collaborate with fellow practitioners and contribute to a positive team culture, sharing ideas and best practices
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Level 3 Early Years Childcare qualification
  • Previous experience in a childcare setting
  • Sound knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for creating a positive and inclusive learning environment for children
