Supply Teacher - Secondary Schools in Wigan

Are you a qualified teacher looking for flexibility while continuing to make a real impact in the classroom? We are currently recruiting Supply Teachers to support secondary schools across Wigan.

This role offers the opportunity to work on a day-to-day, short-term, or longer-term basis, covering lessons across a range of subjects. You will deliver pre-set work, maintain strong classroom management, and ensure continuity of learning in the absence of the regular class teacher.

The Role:

Delivering lessons across KS3 and KS4

Managing behaviour in line with school policies

Keeping pupils engaged and on task

Providing feedback to departments following cover

Working across a variety of local schools

The Ideal Candidate Will:

Hold QTS or equivalent teaching qualification

Be adaptable and confident in new settings

Have strong classroom and behaviour management skills

Be reliable, professional, and well-presented

Be available for flexible work patterns

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience across supportive Wigan schools while maintaining control over your schedule, with potential for longer-term placements available.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
