CNC Millers opportunity in this growing sub contract aerospace precision engineering company. This exceptional company has a great reputation as an employer of choice, offering stable and supportive career roles.The successful candidate will set up, operate and optimise 3-axis milling machines using Fanuc or Heidenhain controls, delivering high-quality components to tight tolerances typically on production run type work.Key responsibilities:- Set up and operate 3-axis CNC milling machines, performing tool changes, offsets and test cuts- Work as a setter/operator: read drawings, select fixtures and tooling, perform machine set-ups and first-off inspections- Monitor production, carry out quality checks and maintain accurate process documentation- Diagnose and resolve routine machine and program issues; suggest improvements to reduce scrap and cycle time- Maintain a clean, safe working environment and follow health & safety proceduresSkills and experience required:- Proven experience as a CNC Miller / Setter-Operator on 3-axis mills- Proficient with Fanuc or Heidenhain controls - Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work to tight tolerances- Competent using measuring equipment (micrometers, verniers, gauges)- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills and a practical, hands-on approach- Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.- Relevant apprenticeship or engineering qualification would be an advantage.- Experience with job planning, setting fixtures and optimising cycle times- Basic CNC maintenance experienceWhat we offer:- Competitive salary and overtime opportunities- Training and development to expand CNC skills and career progression- Supportive team environment and modern equipment
