A specialist secondary SEN school in Didsbury is seeking a committed and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant to join their exceptional team. The school supports pupils aged 11-16 with a range of additional needs, including autism, learning difficulties, communication needs and social, emotional and mental health needs. The staff are passionate about helping every student reach their full potential in a supportive, structured environment.

As a valued member of the support team, you will:

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with diverse SEND needs.

• Assist in delivering personalised learning activities under the guidance of teaching staff.

• Help students regulate their emotions, build confidence and engage positively in lessons.

• Use communication strategies and behavioural support techniques appropriate to each learner.

• Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists and the SENCO to ensure high-quality provision.
