Are you a talented Cook ready to provide nutritious and inspiring meals for young learners? A vibrant mixed independent school in Islington is seeking a dedicated Cook to join their team from September on a temporary basis. This flexible, 0-hour contract offers 6 hours of work per day, with specific days to be confirmed. As a Cook, you will be instrumental in fueling the creativity and well-being of our students aged 3 to 14. We're looking for a passionate Cook. This role is perfect for a Cook who enjoys a dynamic environment. If you're an experienced Cook or currently training, we'd love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

* Prepare and cook a variety of nutritious and appealing meals for children aged 3-14, adhering to dietary requirements and health standards.

* Ensure the kitchen operates efficiently and maintains the highest standards of hygiene and food safety at all times.

* Manage stock rotation, minimise waste, and assist with ordering supplies as needed.

* Collaborate with the school team to provide a positive and supportive dining experience for all pupils.

Requirements:

* Minimum Level 3 in Food and Hygiene qualification. Candidates currently undertaking this qualification will also be considered.

* Proven experience as a Cook in a school or similar catering environment is preferred.

* A passion for creating healthy, delicious food that appeals to children.

* Strong understanding of food safety regulations and practices.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility with working days.
