To lead and inspire the site teams to deliver outstanding performance across all key areas-safety, environment, cost, quality, and service-while continuously driving improvement and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:

Health & Safety

• Champion a culture of safety-first, aligned with Heidelberg Materials' Health & Safety Plan.
• Implement and evolve a continuous improvement plan to exceed safety target

Environmental Leadership

• Operate to the highest environmental standards in line with our Environmental Management Plan.
• Drive sustainability and compliance across all site activities.

Compliance & Governance

• Ensure full adherence to statutory legislation and company policies across all operations.

Operational Excellence

• Achieve optimal production levels at the lowest operational cost.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to boost efficiency.

Distribution & Customer Service

• Collaborate with logistics to ensure high service levels and cost-effective delivery.

Quality Assurance

• Partner with technical teams to maintain top-tier product quality at efficient cost.

Business Analysis

• Work with the Operations Manager to ensure accurate, actionable data informs decision-making and drives profitability.

Leadership & Development:

• Resource Planning: Ensure the site is well-resourced and team members are trained, developed, and empowered.
• Team Direction: Set clear goals, provide strong leadership, and foster a high-performance culture.
• Control & Oversight: Maintain robust controls across safety, environment, capital expenditure, and operational spend.

What You'll Bring:

• Proven experience in quarry or heavy industrial operations management
• Strong leadership and people development skills
• A proactive, improvement-focused mindset
• Commitment to safety, sustainability, and operational excellence
• NVQ Level 4 in SHE quarry operations.
