About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and caring Lunchtime Supervisor to join our team. You'll play an important part in the school day, helping pupils enjoy a safe, happy, and well-organised lunchtime.

This role involves supervising a class of up to 30 children, ensuring their wellbeing during mealtime and outdoor play. It's a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children, has a strong sense of responsibility, and can bring energy and positivity to a busy school environment.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise a class of up to 30 children during lunch, ensuring safety, good behaviour, and inclusion.

*

Support pupils while eating, encouraging healthy habits and good table manners.

*

Manage transitions between the dining hall, classrooms, and playground calmly and effectively.

*

Organise and oversee play activities to keep children engaged and active.

*

Encourage positive social interactions and help resolve minor disputes fairly.

*

Be alert to any safeguarding or health issues, following school procedures at all times.

*

Work as part of the lunchtime team to ensure a smooth and enjoyable break for all pupils.

Person Specification

Essential:

*

A caring, patient, and approachable manner.

*

Confidence managing groups of up to 30 children.

*

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

*

Reliability and a proactive attitude.

*

Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare.

Desirable:

*

Previous experience working with children (in a school, club, or childcare setting).

First Aid or safeguarding training (training can be provided).
