Role: Content Architect Duration: 12 months Contract Location: Allentown, PA Job Details: This position is a strategic position where the successful candidate will definite strategy for architectural initiatives. The candidate needs to have strong communication skills to present their strategy to Senior leadership. Qualified candidate performs the leadership, facilitation, analysis and design tasks required for the development of the enterprise content architecture. Elements include, but are not limited to: Content Management/Delivery (example: Content Management Technologies Architecture, Open Text, SharePoint, Documentum etc.) Search (example: Search Architecture) Web Based Collaboration (example: SharePoint, Documentum, eRoom) Primary Responsibilities and Activities: Establish clarifying 1-to-many strategies and standards for which non-data business content should be stored, managed, interrelated and delivered via which technology platform/product. Establishes direction, strategy, standards for "what content, where?" Defines standards and approaches for future state content services (enterprise content management) including use of SharePoint on-premise, SharePoint Online, FileNet, OneDrive, Network Drives, and others. Determines future approach for file sharing and collaboration with non-employees. Defines vision for future standards and approaches for adaptive content, as well as delivery to non-screen devices and channels. Establishes extensible organizational schemas progressive to adaptive content delivery. Creates foundation for future governance capabilities and structures. Provide thought leadership by analyzing enterprise business context (trends and business strategy), as well as technology evolutions, to derive the Content Architecture future state. This includes defining the requirements, principles and models that guide technology decisions for the Content Architecture. As part of the Enterprise Architecture group, develop, manage, and maintain an enterprise Content Architecture strategy and roadmap. Perform proof of concept evaluations of technical solutions to support future state Content Architecture and Content Management capabilities. Define, communicate and document the standards and technology for the enterprise Content Architecture to support digitally enabled content delivery, governance and management, quality assurance, records retention/management, sensitivity and security. Understand and communicate how the Content Architecture interacts, supports and integrates with other technologies and information systems. Define high-level migration plans to address the gaps between the current and future state, typically in sync with the IT budgeting or other capital planning processes. Lead the development, of repeatable content delivery technology/information solution patterns for application of appropriate technology to business requirement. Oversee, direct, or consult on technology implementations and modification activities. Define metrics to measure and demonstrate Content Architecture value. Understand, advocate and augment the business and IT strategies - and, more specifically, Content Architecture development and service delivery. Be prepared to lead the communication activities needed to ensure Content Architecture success and use.
