A welcoming and forward-thinking primary school in Burnley is seeking a dedicated and experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join the team on a full-time basis from September 2025. This is an exciting opportunity for a committed individual to make a real difference in the lives of young learners.

About the Role:
The successful candidate will support teaching and learning across the school, working closely with class teachers to assist with the delivery of engaging lessons, provide targeted interventions, and contribute to the development and well-being of pupils. The role involves both classroom-based support and one-to-one or small group work.

Key Responsibilities:

Support pupils' learning in class, in small groups, and individually

Assist in planning, preparing, and delivering differentiated lessons

Help maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment

Support the assessment of pupil progress and contribute to record-keeping

Encourage and support pupil independence and confidence

Uphold school behaviour policies and promote positive behaviour

Essential Requirements:

Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)

Previous experience working in a primary school setting

A clear understanding of safeguarding procedures

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

A flexible, proactive approach and a genuine enthusiasm for working with children

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
