We’re supporting a well-established organisation in Perth in their search for a reliable and proactive Stock Controller & Warehouse Operative. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a busy environment, enjoys physical work, and takes pride in maintaining accurate and efficient stock control processes.

What you’ll be doing
- Managing supplier bookings and coordinating goods-in schedules
- Receiving, checking, and signing off deliveries against purchase orders
- Inspecting goods for quality, accuracy, and any potential damage
- Ensuring correct shelf-life rotation using FIFO
- Accurately putting stock away and maintaining organised storage locations
- Managing stock control to ensure system and physical stock levels match
- Completing regular stock checks, cycle counts, and inventory audits
- Investigating discrepancies and reporting findings
- Picking and packing customer orders to meet dispatch deadlines
- Preparing goods for shipment, including labelling and documentation
- Operating forklift trucks safely and efficiently
- Carrying out manual handling and heavy lifting in line with H&S guidelines
- Supporting tin-filling operations when needed
- Assisting across general warehouse and operational tasks
- Maintaining a clean, compliant, and well-organised warehouse environment
What we’re looking for
- Valid forklift licence – essential
- Strong numerical ability
- Based in or near Perth, Scotland
- Comfortable with heavy lifting and manual handling
- Basic competency with ERP systems, Outlook, Google Chrome and Excel
- Previous warehouse experience (preferred)
- Experience in goods-in processes and stock control
- Understanding of date rotation and shelf-life management
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage workload independently
- Physically fit and capable of regular lifting and movement of stock
