The Role:

Provide strategic leadership of the English department across KS3-KS5

*

Drive curriculum innovation, teaching excellence and student progress

*

Lead and support a committed team of English teachers

*

Monitor and evaluate departmental performance and standards

*

Foster a love of reading, writing and critical thinking in every classroom

*

Contribute to whole-school literacy initiatives and academic success

We're Looking for Someone Who:

Is an experienced English teacher with a track record of success at KS3-KS4 (KS5 desirable)

*

Has leadership experience or is ready for the next step into middle leadership

*

Demonstrates strong curriculum and assessment knowledge

*

Can inspire and develop colleagues through high expectations and supportive leadership

*

Is committed to inclusive, engaging, and high-quality education

*

Brings energy, professionalism, and a vision for English in the modern world
