About the Role We are seeking a passionate and resilient
Registered Manager to lead a small, therapeutic children's home in Sheffield supporting up to three young people aged 8-17. This is an opportunity to shape a family-style, nurturing home where children feel safe, valued, and empowered to reach their full potential.Whether you're an experienced Registered Manager or a strong Deputy ready to step up to a managers role, this role offers the chance to focus on quality care, supported by a collaborative leadership team that always puts children first.
Key Responsibilities - Lead the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring compliance with Ofsted and the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015.
- Safeguard and promote the welfare of children, ensuring their voices are central to decision-making.
- Create a homely, activity-filled environment underpinned by therapeutic and trauma-informed practice.
- Provide strong leadership, supervision, and guidance to staff, building a motivated and skilled team.
- Oversee staff recruitment, induction, and development, fostering a culture of learning and excellence.
- Manage budgets and resources effectively, balancing financial sustainability with quality care.
- Build positive partnerships with social workers, schools, health professionals, and families.
- Drive continuous improvement, preparing for inspections and achieving outstanding outcomes.
Requirements - Experience as a Registered Manager or deputy manager within children's residential care.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards).
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding, Ofsted inspections, and regulatory frameworks.
- Experience in trauma-informed and child-centred care approaches.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Resilience, creativity, and the ability to inspire and support children and staff.
