This is an opportunity to shape a family-style, nurturing home where children feel safe, valued, and empowered to reach their full potential.Whether you're an experienced Registered Manager or a strong Deputy ready to step up to a managers role, this role offers the chance to focus on quality care, supported by a collaborative leadership team that always puts children first.Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring compliance with Ofsted and the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015.
  • Safeguard and promote the welfare of children, ensuring their voices are central to decision-making.
  • Create a homely, activity-filled environment underpinned by therapeutic and trauma-informed practice.
  • Provide strong leadership, supervision, and guidance to staff, building a motivated and skilled team.
  • Oversee staff recruitment, induction, and development, fostering a culture of learning and excellence.
  • Manage budgets and resources effectively, balancing financial sustainability with quality care.
  • Build positive partnerships with social workers, schools, health professionals, and families.
  • Drive continuous improvement, preparing for inspections and achieving outstanding outcomes.
Requirements
  • Experience as a Registered Manager or deputy manager within children's residential care.
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards).
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding, Ofsted inspections, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience in trauma-informed and child-centred care approaches.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Resilience, creativity, and the ability to inspire and support children and staff.
