Electrician / Industrial & Commercial

Key responsibilities will be to carry out a varying scope of electrical installation works, remedial works or reactive maintenance to commercial facilities (Science and technology - industrial / university type campus).

Improvement projects comprising of upgrading existing and new installations / testing of facilities to ensure compliance with electrical regulations.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

Qualifications

Essential

*

· Time served UK recognised apprenticeship in Electrical Installation.

*

· NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent with City & Guilds

*

· 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations.

*

· CCNSG Card or JIB Gold Card

*

· IPAF Card

Desirable

*

· C&G 2391 or 2394/5 Electrical Testing and Inspection

Experience

Minimum 2 years, experience post apprenticeship in an industrial / commercial electrical installation.

Thorough understanding of electrical regulations and ability to interpret into practical hands-on application in industrial / commercial and environments.

Installation of all forms of cable and containment, including SWA, ladder racking, cable tray work, metal trunking and conduit.

LED lighting upgrades and emergency lighting installations.

Distribution board upgrades

Experience of working under permit systems and following safe working practices with adherence to Risk Assessments and Method Statements.

Able to interpret and understand Electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.
