About the Role:

Reporting to the Founder, the Sales Director is responsible for developing and executing the sales strategy for the business and supporting the sales team in activating this. As part of the senior leadership team you will own the sales function and deliver the business' sales targets, profitably, sustainably and on brand.

About you:

A driven sales professional, well used to identifying and successfully developing existing distribution, as well as managing exploding new, high growth channels, on home turf and internationally.


* Leading a Sales team of 4

* Managing and coaching the team to achieve individual goals and deliver the wider business targets

* Reporting on business performance and P&L management - to the wider team and at board level

* Create and lead the implementation of the Sales plan that will ultimately deliver our business goals, on brand

* Meeting with Grocery contacts and supporting with key meetings/negotiations

* Pitching to secure key new business wins

* Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams - Marketing for trade execution, Supply Chain for close S&OP management and Innovation from a commercial standpoint

* Working closely with the senior leadership team to advise and support on key strategic business goals whilst nurturing the company ethos, culture and TOV.

The successful candidate will have:

* FMCG sales and marketing experience, ideally 8-10 years. Less is possible for the candidate with the right mix of Leadership and commercial acumen.

* Industry experience from within the Consumer goods industry.

* Experience of working with or managing Third Parties or Distributors in an export environment.

* Understanding of category management principles.

* Strong interpersonal and analytical skills.

* Comfortable with formulating and implementing strategy, presenting at senior level and leading from the front.

* Line management experience.

* A strong active network within FMCG - and a passion for the world of SME food and drink.

* A creative and collaborative approach.

The role is full-time, working 9am - 5.00pm Monday to Friday but with flexible working. 2-3 days working from home 2 days in the office.
