We are working in partnership with a specialist independent school to appoint a Principal/Headteacher to lead a dedicated team supporting pupils with autism and associated learning needs.

The Role:
- Provide strategic leadership and clear direction for the school
- Lead on the quality of education, ensuring a broad, balanced and personalised curriculum
- Promote a positive, inclusive and structured environment tailored to pupils with autism
- Drive school improvement, maintaining high standards of teaching, learning and behaviour
- Oversee safeguarding, compliance and regulatory requirements
- Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team, including teaching and support staff
- Work closely with external professionals, families and stakeholders
What We're Looking For:
- Proven leadership experience as a Headteacher, Principal or Senior Leader
- Relevant qualifications
- Strong experience working with pupils with autism and/or complex needs
- A deep understanding of specialist or independent school settings
- Experience of school improvement, growth and managing change
- Knowledge of safeguarding, SEND legislation and inspection frameworks
- A passionate, resilient and child-centred approach
