Are you an experienced Financial Controller looking for a flexible, part-time role within a dynamic and growing property management company? We're looking for a detail-oriented finance professional to join our team and play a key role in overseeing and enhancing their financial operations.

About the Role
As Financial Controller, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial functions of the business, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic insight. This is a part-time position based at their Cheltenham office, with a commitment of three days per week, however these hours can be flexible across days if easier for the right person.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead all financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting

* Maintain and manage ledgers and financial systems

* Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements

* Support the preparation of year-end statutory accounts, reports, and returns

* Manage cash flow and maintain bank accounts

* Conduct financial analysis to aid strategic decision-making

* Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards

* Liaise with external auditors and manage the annual audit process

* Develop and enforce robust financial controls and procedures

* Collaborate with Property Managers to ensure accurate coding, reconciliations, and reporting

* Supervise and support the Assistant Accountant

* Oversee payroll processing and ensure timely payments

Requirements

* Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA preferred)

* Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within the real estate sector

* Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail

* Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite

* Experience with Xero is an advantage
