This is a great chance to join a recently opened nursery close to Woolwich as a Nursery Practitioner. The nursery is well served by local transport links including train and bus routes and benefits from a ground up purpose-built design to enrich the childrens’ environment and experiences.

The nursery has been custom designed, in line with sustainability principles, and has places for 0-5 year olds. The beautiful garden presents opportunities for outdoor learning, and the shiny new kitchen will provide healthy, nutritious meals and snacks daily.

As a Nursery Practitioner you will ensure that all children attending the nursery receive rich and stimulating experiences appropriate to their age and stage of development. You’ll support the holistic development of young children in the nursery, ensuring their safety, well-being, and preparation for future learning experiences.

Responsibilities:
  • Communicate with parents and care givers about the child's progress and daily routines
  • Create a stimulating and nurturing environment that promotes the physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development in young children
  • Plan and implement activities and educational experiences to help children learn and grow
  • Ensuring that each child's individual requirements are met, and that they enjoy a rich and stimulating environment
  • Promote good hygiene practices and ensure that children are healthy and safe. This includes assisting with mealtime routines, handwashing, and maintaining a clean and sanitary environment
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Level 3 or above recognised Childcare Qualification
  • Have plenty of experience of working with children in a nursery setting
  • Continue to development to stay current with best practices and educational theories related to early childhood education
  • Have a positive and enthusiastic outlook, and work well as part of a team
