Technical Solutions Manager
Location: Cambridgeshire
Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum, plus performance-based bonus
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

Overview:
An esteemed client within the UK's fresh produce sector is seeking a seasoned Technical Solutions Manager. This pivotal role involves leading technical, compliance, and quality teams to uphold and enhance product standards, ensuring timely fulfilment of customer orders.
Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead, mentor, and develop teams across technical, compliance, and quality departments.

  • Implement and drive the site's Technical Strategy.

  • Champion the Food Safety and Quality Plan, fostering collaboration across all departments.

  • Ensure compliance with internal standards and external certifications (e.g., BRC, Soil Association, Red Tractor).

  • Oversee the HACCP plan specific to root produce.

  • Manage and deliver on-site and customer Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

  • Lead technical aspects during customer visits, highlighting standards, quality initiatives, and innovations.

  • Control and manage the labour budget effectively.

  • Ensure all product artwork meets legal requirements before sign-off


Candidate Profile:


  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a technical role within the fresh produce industry.

  • Proven leadership skills with a track record of coaching and team development.

  • Strong ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.

  • Proficient in data analysis to inform decision-making processes.

  • HACCP Level 3 certification (minimum requirement).

  • Trained Lead Auditor.

  • Degree in Food Sciences, Food Technology, Microbiology, or a related field (preferred).
