Your new companyA small family-run business, based in Burnley, is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Administrator to join their team. They are excited to welcome a new experienced finance candidate to the team. Your new role

• Full-time permanent opportunity, Monday-Friday, 08:00-17:00.
• This role will be a pivotal part of the finance function within the company.
• These include processing purchase and sales invoices, reconciling supplier statements and bank accounts, maintaining accurate financial records, and preparing VAT returns and other HMRC submissions.
• You will also support month-end processes, prepare payment runs, and liaise with both internal teams and external suppliers to ensure smooth financial operations.
• You will also assist with general administrative duties that will also form part of your day-to-day responsibilities.

What you'll need to succeed

• To succeed in this role, you should have previous experience in a similar finance position, such as: Accounts Assistant, Accounts Administrator or Finance Assistant.
• A strong working knowledge of Sage accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills and the ability to assist multiple departments where necessary.
• Effective communication, both written and verbal.
• While an AAT qualification is desirable, it is not a requirement for the role.
