The role of a S enior Nurse (RMN/RNLD) within the Mental Health Hospital involves: - Adhering at all times to the NMC code of professional conduct
- Ensuring that you are up to date with relevant hospital policies.
- Contributing to pre-admission assessment of referred patient
- Contributing to the comprehensive assessment of a patient on admission.
- Working collaboratively with the individuals to develop their care plan
- Monitoring and reviewing individualised patient plans, within an evidence-based framework.
- Managing medication as per hospital policy.
- Acting as a role model for other staff, demonstrating good practice
- Acting as a mentor for junior staff
