Our client is a leading national FM Service Provider who are delivering the Lifecycle Project Management across the Hard FM Estates on PFI Healthcare accounts. They are recruiting now for a Technical Manager to lead and support on the Lifecycle replacements within the hospital sites, providing technical support and leadership across the range of projects.

The Technical Manager will be tasked with ensuring that the delivered facility is of a high standard both in terms of quality and functionality. The role will have a significant impact on the long-term operation and maintainability of the infrastructure, services and building fabric as well as providing a robust structure based on accurate data to enable the effective operation of the hospital.

The post holder will be responsible for leading the technical management to facilitate the planned lifecycle replacement programme and reactive lifecycle replacements. To facilitate this the responsibilities include providing detailed technical assessment of the assets condition, identifying critical assets and supporting the renewal programmes.

The post holder will work with the respective Project Manager and wider team in formulating and reviewing practical elements of the proposals including technical assessment and liaising with sub-contractors and service partners in respect of technical solutions. In addition will assist the lifecycle team in the oversight and management of lifecycle projects, deputising where necessary.

Who are we looking for?

* Must have Electrical/Mechanical experience within a Healthcare environment preferably in a similar role involving review and assessment of services being constructed and commissioned

* Ideally have experience and ability to undertake an operational management role within the delivery of the FM contract using sub-contract and directly employed labour

* Have an understanding of maintenance programs and CAFM system preferably based on SFG20, HBNs and HTMs

* Provide strong review, challenge and positive critic of installed services based on agreed quality and performance standards relating to the FM Service Provider

* Positively manage relationships with stakeholders and Trust representatives to enhance perception of service provision

* This role includes a DBS Basic check therefore ability to pass is essential
