About the Role:
The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for keeping machinery and facilities operating efficiently through a mix of preventative and reactive maintenance, as well as supporting equipment upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out daily/weekly checks and planned preventative maintenance (PPM)

• Troubleshoot and repair breakdowns (mechanical and electrical)

• Keep accurate records of all maintenance work

• Support the installation of new machinery and process improvements

• Ensure compliance with health & safety standards and conduct risk assessments

• Liaise with contractors and internal teams to minimise downtime

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• A time-served apprenticeship in mechanical and/or electrical engineering

• NVQ Level 3 or higher (mechanical or electrical bias)

• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (essential)

• Solid diagnostic and fault-finding skills in a manufacturing setting

• Ability to read technical drawings and work independently or in a team

• Experience with lean principles and ISO standards (advantageous)
