About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Chartered Surveyor to join our team, specialising in property inspections and valuations across residential and/or commercial portfolios. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of property markets, building pathology, and valuation methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough property inspections to assess condition, structure, and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Prepare detailed valuation reports for a variety of purposes including secured lending, taxation, acquisition, and disposal.
- Use industry-standard tools and methodologies (e.g. RICS Red Book) to ensure accurate and compliant valuations.
- Liaise with clients, legal representatives, and other stakeholders to gather relevant property information.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local and national property markets.
- Provide expert advice on property value, condition, and potential risks.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with RICS standards and company policies.
- Support junior surveyors and contribute to internal knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- MRICS or FRICS qualified (essential).
- Proven experience in property inspections and valuations.
- Strong knowledge of RICS Valuation – Global Standards (Red Book).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in valuation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required.
Desirable
- Experience in both residential and commercial property sectors.
- Familiarity with digital inspection tools and reporting platforms.
- Additional qualifications in building surveying or project management.
