Greenbush Logistics, Inc. has an opening for a Mechanic at its Plant / Terminal in Irvington, AL. Five years tractor / forklift or industrial maintenance experience is preferred, and a vaild drivers license and high school diploma or equivalent are required. Applicants with ASE certification and CDL are desired. Must be able to pass D.O.T. physical and drug screen.
SALARY BASED ON EXPERIENCE. List of day to day job functions below -
Maintain forklift, tractor, trailer and / or plant serviceability by conducting periodic inspections, completing preventative maintenance requirements, identifying and repairing or replacing faulty or suspect parts.
Repair and upgrade equipment by listening to operators description of malfunction, conducting tests, identifying problem and performing resolution, repair.
Verfiy repairs by test driving vehicle, or running equipment. CDL preferred, but not mandatory. Will pay for CDL testing.
Complete daily operational requirements.
Maintain vehicle maintenance and operational history by initiating and updating records in maintenance management system.
Maintain safe work environment by verifying vehicle safety, following standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations.
Evaluate equipment by examining capabilities and conducting tests.
Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading techncial publications.
A thorough knowledge of all equipment component operations, diagnose engine, transmission, and electrical failures / malfunctions.
Repair or replace all components on a forklift, tractor, trailer and industrial equipment as needed to maintain use.
