Supply Teacher

Veritas Education are working with a range of secondary schools and partnership sites around the Leeds area, looking for qualified, committed and reliable secondary supply teachers to join their approved supply staffing list.

Veritas work across the whole of the Leeds area, supporting secondary schools with their secondary teaching cover and long-term placement requirements. A number of the schools have selected preferred staffing lists which they are looking to expend, to be able to call upon on a daily, weekly and potentially long-term basis.

The Role:

• Be confident in delivering an inclusive, structured and engaging lesson to secondary age groups, from year 7 to year 11.
• Show knowledge around a range of subjects for general cover and demonstrate key curriculum knowledge around your specialist subject.
• Manage classroom behaviour across the board, setting expectations, following seating plans and utilising the school's behaviour policy.
• Delivering pre-set work, and your own planned lessons plans according to the class and year group requirements.
• Liaise with SLT and other curriculum teachers in ensuring correct content and curriculum are being followed.
• For longer term placements - Show willingness to plan, prepare and deliver lesson plans and materials.
