Production Manager

£40,000 per annum, Permanent, Mon - Fri, 38 hour week (early finish Friday), no shifts, BS3 Bristol, 33 days holiday, Pension, Parking.

Established manufacturer producing a variety of components and parts from different materials in a fast paced volume manufacturing environment are recruiting for a production manager This role offers the opportunity to utilise your existing experience and knowledge. This role reports to the operations manager.

Areas of responsibility for the production manager or production team leader role:

The role will involve leading an established team of around 20 production operatives, team leaders and stores colleagues.
Adhering to production deadlines and quality standards to ensure production targets are met.
Utilising Microsoft suite including Excel and word for reports and recording information.
This is a hands on management role working closely with production operatives and production team leaders.
Communicating effectively with the team leaders, operatives and stores team.
Daily meetings and regular reporting to senior management.
Responsible for H & S checks and risk assessments.
Investigate trending issues, one-off concerns or opportunities for process and continuous improvement.

Skill set required for the production manager or production team leader role:

Previous experience in a production manager or production team leader role
Experience in high volume production environments
Experience with managing teams in fast moving production environments
Planning and scheduling labour resources
Strong attention to detail
Possess a good level of communication to interact with colleagues
Good problem solving skills working to strict time frames
Familiar with daily and weekly reporting to management
Computer literate
