Mechanical Design Engineer

Salary: £60k - £70k

Our client is an industry leader in innovative mechanical engineering solutions, who are on the lookout for a highly skilled Mechanical Engineers to take on a leadership role, driving the design and implementation of complex facility mechanical systems.

Lead Mechanical Engineer:

* Design and evaluate process piping and ductwork systems.

* Develop detailed P&ID's and coordinate complex drawing packages.

* Experience in engineering and design of piping systems, including pipe sizing, pipe stress analysis, sizing pressure relief valves etc.

* Experience in sizing and specifying support service equipment. (compressors, vacuum pumps, centrifugal; pumps, heat exchangers, cooling towers, air diaphragm pumps).

* Collaborate with electrical engineers for integrated power systems.

* Lead site visits and support system startups worldwide.

* Mentor and guide less experienced engineers to achieve project goals.

What You Bring:

* Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering (required).

* Minimum of 7 years of Mechanical Engineering experience with a strong mechanical aptitude.

* Advanced AutoCAD skills and experience in piping system fabrication. (AutoCAD 2D & AutoCAD Plant 3D)

* Knowledge of pumps, HVAC, and support equipment.

* Willingness to travel (10-30% per year) 2-3 trips to Head Quarters in US, trip to last between 2-4 weeks.
