A leading specialist law firm is looking for a Junior Compliance / AML Analyst to join its growing Risk & Compliance function. This newly created role supports the Lead Compliance/AML Analyst and offers broad exposure across the firm, working closely with Partners, EAs, Finance and clients.

It’s an excellent opportunity for someone early in their compliance career who wants to develop in a high-performing, collaborative environment. This is a hybrid role, in the City of London.

Responsibilities:

• Onboard new clients and matters in line with internal policies
• Conduct CDD checks, including sanctions, PEPs and adverse media screening
• Identify higher-risk situations and escalate for enhanced due diligence
• Liaise with fee-earners, EAs and clients to gather required information
• Maintain high-risk and PEP registers
• Support the wider Risk & Compliance team with ad hoc tasks and projects

Requirements

• Degree-level education, ICA certificates an advantage
• AML experience, ideally within a Legal setting
• Strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail
• Curious and commercially aware, with an interest in ownership structures and economic crime risks
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
