Job Title: Lead Functional Skills Tutor

• Lead Functional Skills Tutor - Maths

Location: Stoke on Trent - Centre based

Salary: up to £37,000 (Depending on skills and experience)

Type: Full-time, Permanent

Essential Criteria:

• Must hold a recognised Teaching qualification at Level 5 or above/equivalent.

• Hold a Level 3 in English and/or Maths, or equivalent.

• Ability to overcome challenges and support learners to progress.

• Experience of delivering Functional Skills English and/or Maths up to Level 2.

• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Demonstrate confidence, tenacity and ability to work on own initiative.

Duties:

• Demonstrate best teaching practice to your team by delivering English and /or Maths sessions to small groups of learners, focus on showcasing planning, engagement, differentiation, assessment, and reflection.

• Develop and coach a team of Functional Skills Tutors, conducting regular 1:1s and observations to ensure continuous improvement within their delivery.

• To identify any additional training or support needs within your team, to ensure that a high-quality learning experience is provided for all learners.

• Work in partnership with the management team, to develop curriculum and ensure content exceeds the expectations of partners and learners in line with company ethos.

• Promote Equality and Diversity, Safeguarding and Health and Safety.

• The successful candidate will be flexible with their delivery methods, providing differentiation and be able to adapt quickly to learners needs.

• Utilise existing delivery resources, as well as preparing own when required.

• The successful candidate must be engaging and able to demonstrate energy and passion to motivate / train clients in order to help learners realise their potential.
