Shifts: Monday-Friday (Days & Afternoons) + Occasional Saturdays

Are you an experienced Multi-Skilled Engineer looking to join a forward-thinking food manufacturing business? Our client, a well-established and reputable company based in Nelson, is expanding their engineering team and seeking talented, driven individuals to support ongoing growth and operational excellence.

The Role

As a Multi-Skilled Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining and improving plant equipment within a fast-paced food production environment. You will carry out planned and reactive maintenance across mechanical and electrical systems, ensuring downtime is minimised and production targets are met.

Key Responsibilities

Perform preventative and reactive maintenance across a wide range of production machinery.

Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical faults.

*

Support continuous improvement projects and machinery upgrades.

*

Ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently in line with site standards.

*

Work collaboratively with production teams to maintain operational performance.

What We're Looking For

*

Apprentice-trained in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (essential).

*

Experience within food manufacturing or FMCG is highly desirable.

*

Candidates from other industries are welcome to apply if willing to train and develop.

*

Strong fault-finding skills and a proactive, hands-on approach.

*

Ability to work rotating days and afternoons, with flexibility for occasional Saturday work.
