Finance Assistant - Temp ongoing (possibility of a Temp to Perm option)Full Time Hours – 37hrs per weekTerm Time only £20,800 (Pro Rata Salary)The role...Working closely with the Business Manager and part of the Finance Team providing full finance admin support. Some of the daily duties include:
- To ensure purchase order requisition and staff expenses are authorised and processed.
- Ensuring goods received notes are checked and updated on the organisations accounting system.
- Maintain stocks of office equipment and supplies needed by the school
- Update the inventory of all items of furniture & equipment for the school
- Completing debtors requests and reporting to the correct team to ensure recovery of outstanding payments
- Provision of management information from the respective cashless systems to ensure accurate figures for the Trusts bank accounts
- Collating and provision of any information required to support the school financial management/procurement activity for the Business Manager.
- Undertaking financial Admin and reconciliation of catering, educational visits, transport and any other income streams
- Posting results to the Financial Accounting system in accordance with the Trusts monthly financial management timetable.
- Preparing monthly payroll reports, monthly capitation reports for school budgets
- Prepare for review monthly financial reports
- Providing general administration support within the team as required.
What we are looking for...Some of the key things we are looking for in the ideal candidate would be:
- Previous experience within a similar role - working within education would be of particular interest but not essential
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent within relevant discipline
- Good IT skills with MS Office and accounting software
- Strong numeracy and attention to detail
- Good communication skills as will be liaising with members of various teams, stakeholders, parents and children.
- Ability to work as part of the team but still manage own workload to ensure work is completed within specific deadlines
- Flexibility to assist with various tasks as required by the team
