Class 2 HGV Driver (Category C)

£36,000 - £40,000 per year | Full-time | Nationwide Deliveries | Occasional Overnights

We are seeking an experienced Class 2 HGV Driver to join our logistics team in Clacton-On-Sea Essex, ensuring goods are delivered safely, professionally, and on time across the UK.

This is a hands-on role involving driving, loading/unloading, and providing excellent customer service. Ongoing training is provided, including crane & sling operation, safety refreshers, and the opportunity to progress to Class 1 (C+E).

Key Responsibilities

Nationwide Class 2 HGV driver responsibilities deliveries with occasional overnight stays

Load, secure, and unload goods safely

Provide professional, friendly customer service at every delivery

Complete delivery paperwork, logs, and photo records

Communicate clearly with customers and the logistics team

Support routing, scheduling, and load planning

Carry out daily vehicle checks and comply with UK transport regulations

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of distribution and safety procedures

Always wear correct PPE and follow site and vehicle safety standards

Requirements

Full UK Class 2 (Category C) licence

Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card

Minimum 3 years' experience in logistics or delivery driving

Strong communication and customer service skills

Understanding of safe load securing and manual handling

Ability to work independently and represent the company professionally

CSCS card desirable but not essential
