Please note, this role is a fixed term maternity cover opportunity running from April/May 2026 up to and including until July 2027. This role can be home or office-based and will require some travel to Reed in Partnership offices across the UK.

What is the role about?

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced People Business Partner to support our growing Reed Wellbeing division and Contact Centre Service teams.

Reed Wellbeing, has since 2015, been supporting people to lead healthier lives. The division is home to multiple contracts, delivering across the UK. Our services include healthy lifestyle (inc. health checks, weight management and smoking cessation services) and diabetes prevention and remission services. Our Contact Centre Service teams based in Liverpool, Newry & Newcastle provide services across our Employability, Wellbeing and Citizen Services divisions.

This role will play an important part in ensuring that we develop and implement appropriate people practices and resourcing structures to ensure we are best placed to meet our ambitious growth plans.

This role will also provide support to our Liverpool-based Support functions.

Just some of your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Employee Relations: Monitors and implements policies and procedures to ensure employee relations issues are addressed appropriately and in a timely manner, managing and mitigating risk to deliver commercially appropriate outcomes.
  • Resource & Talent Planning: Balances resource requirements and advises on recruitment, selection and retention strategies to attract and retain the best talent.
  • Organisational Design: Ensures that the roles in the business meet the current and future needs and that any changes are delivered professionally and compliantly.
  • Performance: Analyses and improves performance management practices in the business unit(s).
  • Miscellaneous: Contributes to strategic HR change programmes, national projects, employment tribunal claims, L&D interventions, Health & Safety guidelines, organisational charts, secondments, contractual changes, and documentation.

To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone with:

  • Previous experience as a HR/People Business partner, at least 18 months-2 years is desirable, with confidence to act as a key business partner for internal stakeholders
  • Experience managing complex employee relations issues, with an in-depth knowledge and application of UK Employment Law to manage and mitigate any risks to the business
  • Previous experience of taking the lead on restructuring and/or TUPE and/or change management initiatives
  • Experience in development and delivery of key strategic projects
  • Someone who is confident working in a fast-paced organisation and can be adaptable
  • Skills such as being: commercially aware, people-oriented, analytical and decisive, influential and confident, detail-oriented and accurate, highly organised
