We are seeking an experienced Team Manager or Senior Social Worker to join our dedicated team as an Assistant Team Lead, focusing on Mental Health and Autism. This role is based in Stockport and offers a hybrid working model. The successful candidate will be instrumental in providing expert care and support, making a significant impact in the lives of adults with mental health issues and autism.
Day-to-day of the role:- Supervise a team of Social Workers, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Conduct assessments and provide support planning for adults with mental health issues and autism.
- Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to patient care.
- Implement and monitor care plans, adjusting as necessary to meet the changing needs of clients.
- Provide crisis intervention as needed and participate in a rotating on-call schedule.
- Advocate for clients, ensuring they have access to the resources and support they need.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with legal and organisational standards.
- Engage in continuous professional development to keep abreast of the latest developments in social work and mental health care.
Required Skills & Qualifications:- Qualified Social Worker with current registration.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Team Lead or Senior Social Worker.
- Proven experience in mental health and autism care within a social work context.
- Strong understanding of the legal and ethical considerations related to social work in mental health and autism.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care.
- Experience in chairing meetings and a valid driver's license are essential.
